Regency House
Office/Industrial To Apartments Conversion & Additional Floor
Planning Authority: Bromley Council
Regency House is a two-storey office block situated on Farwig Lane in Bromley comprising of traditional brick elevations. Having owned the property for some time, our client appointed Bluelime to design an additional floor on top of the existing two-floor structure. Our design also incorporated change of use for ground and first floors to residential apartments. Designs were completed using a combination of 3D models and Virtual Reality allowing us to completely re-organise the internal layouts maximising the space available for the new apartments. Bluelime handled the entire design process including planning applications and structural feasibility. In addition, various specialist reports such as sunlight, traffic and noise assessments were required to support the various planning applications. For the next phase of the project Bluelime will produce construction and structural designs and calculations in order to obtain Building Control approval and tender returns from contractors.
